The Chaarat Project has two licences:
- A mining licence covering the initial 6km mineralised trend for both the Tulkubash and Kyzyltash zones. This is valid until June 2032.
- An exploration licence extending approximately 20km further along strike for both the Tulkubash and Kyzyltash zones. This is valid until October 2023 and is renewable.
Full local permitting for the project was achieved ahead of schedule in September 2017. The local community has also approved the project development. Because there are no communities or agricultural facilities in the project area, no compensation or resettlement is required. The final step prior to construction is local sign-off of the detailed engineering plans once these have been completed.
