On April 19, Chaarat Kapan carried out tree planting in Geghanush settlement with the participation of the company employees and community residents.
Darin Cooper, Chief Operating Officer of Chaarat Gold Holdings and David Tovmasyan, General Director of Chaarat Kapan also took part in the tree planting.
The students of Geghanush Secondary School had a significant contribution to the event, who participated in the tree planting with great enthusiasm. An open lesson was held with the students before the start of the work. They were introduced to environmental responsibility and the importance of such events, and the students in turn promised to take care of the planted trees. The students received gifts from the company as an incentive to participate in the tree planting.
For this project, about 400 seedlings of maple, poplar, gladiolus, catalpa were purchased, which have the ability to absorb pollutants in the air, and further tree care will be carried out jointly with the company employees and the community residents.
It should be noted that the project has not been completed yet, soon trees will be planted on the company site, as well as in other settlements of the Kapan community.
